You should be able to save a scanned photo to your hard drive just by clicking on "file" then "save as" when you've scanned your photo and open it in your photo editing softward, I assume you installed some with your scanner. Save it to a folder you've created for your photos, then name each photo something simple. You also should save them in .jpg format, as they take up less space. Your earthlink membership should provide you with space for storing photos. You might just want to call them and ask them how to set it up or access it. It's not hard once you've tried it. I'll see about copying a page of my photo software with the drop-down menus I'm talking about, and email it to you.

Hi all
We made it to Lafayette LA an hour ago - 410 miles today. The boys are swimming and I'm checking in here for a minute - then I'm going to SLEEP. We had cloudy weather, muggy, but not hot, all day, and seem to have dodged all the thunderstorms surrounding us.
There are bayous around here - how cool! I didn't take many pictures today, the weather was so overcast and the traffic pretty steady, so I kept rolling along. Will be back after a nap.

I have just been to collect Catriona from the train station, she was over seeing "the Yacht" yesterday. Didn't get to sail, as it is being chartered out today, and she was an extra pair of hands to clean and make ready.LOL.

I am sorry we didn't connect, but we almost did, LOL, and if we can keep trying it will happen when we least expect it.LOL

There isn't enough concealer that would hide the dark rings under my eyes! it would take a whole tub of polyfilla!! LOL (no being serious!)

It is a thought though, -- about the all nighter from my end,-- maybe when Richard is away at camp I might consider it!

Be sure to tune in. Val is on her trip and taking fabulous pictures. I can hardly wait to see what she posts from Savannah, GA which is a beautiful state! Bet she finds a peach tree to photograph too! I am off this afternoon to buy some white babcock peaches. They will be gone soon and they are sooooooooo sweet and juicy....so are the white nectorines....yummmmmmmmmm. Ozzie is off to see Kristie but will be home tomorrow. I want to go shopping.. found an electric " tea pot" sort of like the ones you have over there so we can have hot water for tea etc. Saw a Cuisinart one..costs about 69 dollars but it is stainless steel and very smart and holds more than the braun that was also for sale. So we shall see..

I found some cream soup spoons yesterday in an antique shop..they are heavy silver plated but nice and Ozzie liked the ones we used in England and Scotland. Used to get them with good sterling silver flatware but not now...also found some coffee spoons with a pretty lily of the valley design on the handles . Only 5 of them but the will do nicely with my Royal Crown Derby " Derby Posies" tea set that I got while I was in Minstead. I will be totally British/Irish/ Scotish in no time..Ozzie can keep his Mexican hat( but some of that Mexican art....not my style) Those calanders with the god making a face don't appeal to me at all. LOL but don't tell him...

Shouldn't have spoken about the good weather, it never fails to upset things! Today it has rained most of the day,- looking on the bright side I won't need to water the plants! LOL

I remember when I was in Texas back in the 70's the grass seemed to sprout before your very eyes after the thunderstorms, so I see nothing has changed! LOL
