Wonder if there's a port of Linux for that hardware...?

I am not going to the dardside for a while..not at least until some sort of purge happens here.

Today I was called, Nazi, Scum and an escapee from the loony bin.

I may state the points of my arguement, but I have never called people names, especially those.

Well, I should at least spell his name correctly.

He can use a splash of malt vinegar instead of the beer and whiskey. He can also add rehydrated pablano, ancho, and chipoltle peppers if he pleases (I did today with white beans). This recipe is also very open to interpretation. I encourage him to experiment with recipes. He'll learn. And being single, he's not exposing innocents to his experiments. grin!

And, because I'm defending DW.....I'm called a pedodefender!!!!!!!!

I just watched a TRUE movie today......

A young man was in the Marines at Camp Pendleton....

..he bought a dog from a lady....but 2 days later, the lady & her kids were murdered.

BECAUSE he resembled someone a witness saw walking in the area...(EVEN THOUGH THEY FOUND NO TRACE, NO DNA IN THE WOMAN'S HOUSE)...

...they arrested him (he had a wife & toddler)...and his mom & dad gave up their life savings & home to get a good lawyer.

3 years later!!!!....3 years!!.....after the first trial resulted in his conviction & death sentence......there was another trial....

...and new evidence by a woman who had known all along it wasn't him.....came forth, and he was found NOT GUILTY.

The man was reaquainted with his 3 yr.old and family who had defended him.

Yes, sometimes innocent people are railroaded.

The prosecutor was trying for the political vote, as well.

I'm sorry I'm on a tirade......but Luis's remark really steamed my gourd!!

I would never, never never defend a pedophile!!!!

Ignore them, kiddo. They don't rate any sweat or heartache. You are not a Nazi, scum, or... well... maybe the loony bin part. GRIN!

Seriously. You are a patriot that works with our military on a daily basis. Ignore the arm-chair generals. Most of them never learned their right from their left. (You can fill in the cadence from here)

You are so right....

It's just plain sad that reasonable folks can't discuss without namecalling & sarcasm & hatefulness.....

...for mercy sakes....look at Richard Jewel!!
...he's still trying to put his life back together....

...Do those who disagree with us feel so insecure that they have to attack?

Insults & arguments are so negative.

It's not worth your feelings either, Guennie. We have to accept that there are jerks. Even folks we like may be jerks sometimes. We have to stick by our gut when things get tough.

Remember Gideon's band. It doesn't take many committed men, directed by Him, to make a difference. Even though the world stands against them.

This should perk you up! I must confess to not reading the thread ..... and sometimes the source isn't too reliable ...... and it's an online poll which means it's not worth a toot ...... but if you ignore all those disclaimers, it's a great article ..... *grins*

Luis, too ....... *sigh*

I have been so shocked ..... and disillusioned .... at the behavior of some that I considered truly among FR's finest.

Luis is still among FR's finest. He's a patriot that wants freedom for Castro's Cuba. That doesn't mean that I agree with every position that he holds.

No man is perfect. Not recently anyway. Even I am known to hold some opinions that some of you guys may not like. grin.

We need peace-makers now. I encourage everyone to be polite, and to appreciate the better points of our compatriots. If we focus on the bad, that's all we'll see.

Disagreement is one thing, John. I am sure that many of us would disagree on a number of subjects .... in fact, we have. But we exchange ideas, offer reasons for our viewpoints, and engage in honest, civil debate. And we respect the other person's opinion even if we can't accept it as our own.

That is quite different from the bitterness, the ugliness, the name-calling, the flinging of inexusable insults that so many I had respected are now indulging in.

It's not the difference in views that concerns me ..... it's the way it's being handled. I'm reminded of my grandkids ..... who are 3 and 4 years old ..... and don't know better yet ......

Amen. People are not handling the differences well. It's up to us adults (who are in charge, thank goodness) to set the tone. We'll be the standard that everyone has to live up to. Even if they (and me) don't always live up to the standard. Even if it's good people that twisted wrong.
