I always try to state my views when I am drawn into one of those threads ..... and to do so rationally .... emphasis on the word try .....

And I have never resorted to name-calling ..... except that I do call JohnHuang2 by his proper title ..... Your Excellency ...... *grins*

But I have been shocked and saddened at some of the others who have taken to using childish means when they don't see eye-to-eye with others. It scares me, too. What will happen in 2004? Will conservatives unite again to battle the liberals? Or will we have a replay of '92 when someone unworthy gets elected because the conservatives would rather trash each other than fight the enemy?

Well, what it seems to me here is that we have a sheep/goats-wheat/tares kind of thing. People have got to learn how hard it is to be civil in the face of criticism, and perhaps they will THEN appreciate how much strength the President has!

I have had vile things sent to me by private mail, been called every name in the book, have been followed from thread to thread, and generally attacked because I am a woman who supports the President.

BUT, greater is the power given to me by the Holy SPirit, and I REFUSE to stoop to the level of those folks. John is riight; we must set the example, both here and when we are on the dark side. To retreat helps no one, because then the nasty folk have no one to balance them.

We MUST keep on keeping on, coming here when the battle gets to be too much.

At least that is my opinion, for what it's worth.
