The UN is likely to grant Iraq a full year under an "inspection" regime before it is willing to say Iraq is "non compliant" and seek other courses of action.

British newspapers are concerned the UN will become irrelevent if the US acts unilaterally.

The Sun reports former PM Major as saying the United States would respond to an Iraqi use of WMDs by conducting an above-ground nuclear test in the Baghdad area.

And President Bush is sending to Congress a resolution that will authorize him to act soon with military force, notwithstanding the UN concerns, in the event Saddam does not quickly relinquish his WMDs.

Fox has a former weapons inspector on now who says that Iraq NEVER cooperated with the inspections, and says that unless inspections are "any time, anywhere" they will have no validity. (Obviously, this isn't Scott Ritter talking...it's a British guy.)

Saddam must be feeling the pressure. Rumsfeld said he could take his family and go into exile, a story that also surfaced in France.

I thought this interesting, in that perhaps it is going to let the French come on board with getting him out.

Then, of course, Mossad can take care of things.
