Okay, my problem is that I remember making them and they were so cute to sit on the Thanksgiving table, but I don't recall how to make them. Sigh, and now I wish to teach my grandchildren how to make them, but I forget if the marshmellows go on the tail or the raisins. And what did we use for the gobbler and feet?
Yes, I have searched on the net, and I find that they now make turkeys for the decoration of the table out of construction paper. LOL
If anyone remembers, I sure would appreciate your help.
Good Luck!

||||
12 - Long Frilly Toothpicks 1 Red Delicious Apple 1 Large Red Grape |
34 Raisins 25 Colored (or white) Mini Marshmallows 2 Pepper Corns |
|||
Instructions: Body: Lay apple on its side. Use smaller end for the front of the turkey. Put three toothpicks on the underside of the apple for the legs (about ½ inch out) to balance. Tail: Skewer 8 frilly toothpicks alternately with a raisin then a marshmallow until stacked three high and finish with a raisin. Stick toothpicks into apple 1/3 way in from large end to form a fan. Head: Break the frilly part off end of toothpick and set aside. Stick non-frilly toothpick in the apple at the opposite end from the tail (in small end of apple), then alternate on toothpick a raisin (against apple), marshmallow, raisin and grape (skewered side ways and fitted with 2 pepper corn eyes) for the head. Put remaining broken-off frilly part in bottom on grape for turkeys beard.
