Because ONLY rich people buy your product, you want the rich to have more money to buy more of your product.

Yes. That allows me to hire "working people" that then can go and spend their paychecks on things which keeps other businesses going. You see?

Oh - I understand now, since your business caters only to the rich, and the nation's economy revolves around your business, Bush gave such a huge tax cut to the wealthy, and a paltry tax cut to everyone else.

Part of it does. Other people do buy our products but we can't live and grow on Valentines Day sales alone. We would have to cut our work force by three-quarters and shut the business down for most of the year if that were the case. And the economy does revolve around the rich. It is because they buy and hire that most of the rest of us have jobs. You may not like it but it is true.

A rising tide does raise all boats.

By the way, it was a very small tax cut.

You're kidding, right?

Nope. So the more rich we have and the richer they are the better.

So the more rich we have and the richer they are the better.

So do we make EVERYONE rich?

The more and the richer the better as you say.

So do we make EVERYONE rich?

You don't make people rich. They are either born rich or they become rich but they are not made rich. A possible argument for Lottery winners could be made but they are temporary aberrations with nine out of ten being bankrupt in ten years. There will always be the less rich as there are those who waste their wealth (use it faster then it grows), do not wish to input the time and effort or are just starting out.

But if you look at history you see that most of the lower class in America now lives better then the most of the upper class did 100 years ago. So yes, the more and the richer the better.

If the rich were not willing to pay top dollar for their little toys that later on become necessities of life we never would have those things.

May their tribe forever increase!

Sure - like computers (/sarcasm).

Bottom line, you want welfare for the rich because the rich helps your business.

Yep. All these things like CD-RW's and flat screens and color monitors were all expensive little toys when they first were marketed. Only the rich could afford them. And who but the rich would pay $5,000 for a movie player that was a little clearer? Then the prices dropped and the rest of us could afford them because of mass production but it was the rich who were the first buyers and made the rest possible. Bless their little hearts. Because of them I have a DVD player on my Christmas list.

Bottom line, you want welfare for the rich because the rich helps your business.

Welfare? Since when is a tax cut welfare? Did we re-write the dictionary when I wasn't looking? And what is wrong with my wanting the business to grow?
