The virus would be hidden.there is a diagnostic disk by Symantec called FixKlez, but what she should is acll in a local computer services technician who could do onsite repair work.It would take about an hour or two if its just a garden variety Klez.I bet the Nimbda is the worst one of the two. They have to be removed and all corrupted files fixed or deleted before you can run and install any virus software.

If there is a local computer store that can recommend a name for such testing and repairs, she should find out.Go that route first.

Yes.. you're probably right.. I know I had the Klez once and it was a bugger to get rid of. I think I may have had it quarantined on this puter too.. You know, after six months, I just can't remember..

All I know is the one I got on the day I opened this was the Six (clicks, something) from Hell virus. It is nothing and it shouldn't have caused me any problems once trapped and deleted.. I went to SARC and did what they told me.. I still don't know why I slowed down tho.. It was loaded with software last year and running great, and this year it's like I lost all my memory.. Has me stumped.. Sooo.. I refused to give anyone else any more money and bought a new one..and gave up.. Hey, it's four years old and not a great one anyway..
