Police: Body cavity search reveals crack
By DAN SPRINGER | Of the Tribune staff An inmate's planned release from the La Crosse County Jail was stymied Tuesday because a sheriff's investigator claimed he found eight bags of cocaine in the man's rectum. According to court records, Marcus J. Thomas, 20, of La Crosse was due to be released after he entered pleas in four open cases. He had been in jail since Feb. 7.
Before Thomas was released, however, sheriff's investigator Fritz Leinfelder came looking for drugs.
Leinfelder said he was tipped off that Thomas had eight rocks of cocaine he was trying to smuggle out of the jail.
Thomas, who was charged Wednesday with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, agreed to let the investigator search him, the complaint said.
Leinfelder said in the complaint that Thomas cooperated fully until he asked Thomas to lower his jail uniform pants.
Thomas refused and Leinfelder was forced to get a judge to give him permission to search the lower half of Thomas' body, according to the complaint.
With a search warrant in hand, Leinfelder continued his search and reported finding drugs.Thomas told investigators the drugs were not his and he was only told to deliver it to a girl who was outside the county jail, according to the complaint.
Thomas eventually removed eight rocks of cocaine, weighing a total of 4.5 grams, from his body.
During a court hearing Wednesday, La Crosse County Circuit Judge Dennis Montabon ordered Thomas held on $10,000 cash bond and scheduled another court appearance for 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Simply knowing such transport methods are frequently used is enough to deter any illegal drug use by me.Convicted former Georgia state representative Ralph David Abernathy III (yes, son of that Abernathy) used that method to transport marijuana to Atlanta from Jamaica and got caught by drug-sniffing dogs at Hartsfield. Needless to say, he (along with the "Soul Patrol") screamed racism and he got away with it (at least for that stupid act).
Abernathy was just plain stupid, though. He eventually got caught and went to jail. He just last month went back to jail on a parole violation.

I wasn't there, the crack isn't mine, I don't know how it got there...I wasn't even born yet!
Typical, so very typical! They, the defense attorney, will attempt to convince a jury the these excuses are true. If that doesn't work we will be subject to the excuse that: 'if you had not put him away in the first place, he would not be in this situation'.
Read 'em and weep folks, it's our judicial system. Thank you liberal judges, we now have more criminals on the streets, than should be in prison, than we have cops on the street to control them. Yet an other unintended consequense of leftist, socialist law.
Note to socialists: One day they will target your house, one day they will come after you. But, you won't have a gun!

That's great! HAHAHAHA!!
When I was in college, I worked a couple of summers on a construction crew. One guy wore pants that were way too big and they were always riding low. One guy bought a belt and left it on his lunch box. When he still didn't get the message, a bunch of us pooled a couple of dollars each and bought him some suspenders. To the guy's credit, he wore the suspenders for the rest of the job.

How funny! This is a headline you'd expect to hear on the Tonight Show.

"I used to have a dog that had an embarassing, "bwaaaaa OK entertaining", habit of sniffing womens crotches. Do you think he was looking for crack ?" My brother had a girlfriend who liked short skirts (so did he). One day they visited my brother-in-law who had two Chocolate Labs named Fred and Ginger (no, not after the dancers). The girlfriend was standing there, saying "hello" when the dogs approached from front and rear simultaneously and gave her a big "HELLO" themselves. I hear they had to peel her off the ceiling...

It didn't go over my head, in fact, I was just thinking, a body cavity search of me would reveal a crack too, & I am drug free.
