Sodom is on the brink of losing Iraq, it's only a matter of time. However, he can still be a master of his destiny, if he just sat down and thought about his options. He has a couple of very good options to save as much of his butt as possible.
Option 1
Call Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the U.N. and give up, asking for asylum. Kofi will give him a new country to rule, or split some little country into two parts. Even if the U.S. tries to prosecute Sodom on war crimes, the eventual trial would make the OJ Simpson trial look like a circus. Uhh, OK, bad comparison, but you know what I mean.
Besides where would we get a trial jury made up of Sodom's peers? Where do we find 12 genocidal, maniacal dictators from the pool of leaders at the U.N.? Well, OK, I guess they have enough for two trials, but they would still let ol' Sodom go and force the U.S. pay hard in Sodom's countersuit. The U.S. has plenty of lawyers who would love to defend Sodom. Too bad Klintoon lost his license to practice law after that perjury thing. He would have relished the chance to beat Bush at something.
Option 2
Sodom flees to his friends, partners and protectors in France. Except that he has a trick up his sleeve - when Sodom and his sons get there, they go to the Eiffel Tower, pull out their side arms and wave them in the air. All the French will immediately surrender to the 3-man Iraqi invasion, Chirac will follow the steps of the WWII French hero, De Gaulle, and flee to England. Yeah, Chirac's reception in England from Blair would be as warm as De Gaulle's was from Churchill, but what else could Blair do?
Then sodom would declare himself the leader of France and immediately have a Veto vote in the U.N., and Veto any attempts by the U.S. or Britain to have himself tried for war crimes or crimes against humanity.
Too bad sodom won't read this post on FR until it's too late.
