Exactly. This woman in GrooveLilly can WAIL on that electric violin---called a "Viper." Brought the roof down.
I'm telling you, she made that "fiddle" sound like Eric Clapton's gi-tar.

Even better!!!

Why don't you come down off that high horse and roll in the mud with us? Or do you not mingle with the rednecks?
"Vichy Chicks" is hardly a hateful name. It is funny and clever.

Funny thing is, I feel the same way. I never liked their music much before "Earl", and not much after. Heck, the only songs they have done that I like are "Wide Open Spaces", "Traveling Soldier" and their cover of "Lanslide". Their instrumentals and more blue grass stuff is ok, but I have never been a fan. People get the false impression that I'm a fan because I post on these threads about them saying that I think its silly and stupid that such a big deal has been made. I think Maines has an amazing voice, and I was a fan of them. I think they make good music, and "You Were Mine" is one of my favorite songs. I realized that they were a bunch of liberal feminists when they released "Goodbye, Earl" but long ago I decided that I had to separate the artist from the art. Way back when in my wild and wooley days I spent too much money buying REALLY BAD music and other "art" because I supported the artists' politics. It was so freeing for me to finally throw all the crap I had away and admit, finally, that the emperor had no clothes (and couldn't sing). I vowed never again to be a victim to politically-motivated support for artists. If you make good art and I find it pleasing, I will buy your stuff, no matter what you believe. If you suck as an artist, I may buy you a cup of coffee, but I won't buy your albums, even though I may whole-heartedly support your politics.

Joe, please lighten up. Vichy Chicks is not a "hateful name." It's an example of hilarious FR humor that calls on an erudite knowledge of history and the nuances of geopolitics.
To: sarasota
Maybe they'll do covers of Kansas tunes?
Shalom.

"It's pointless conversing with people who use childish names to refer to musicians and even more pointless in conversing with people who act if anyone is disagreement with them is from some website that is for registered Democrats or that I have been smoking anything."Then do us all a favor and take your own advice.

They won't make it on the other side. I listen to everything but rap. The Pixie Twits don't have a chance outside country and they've blown that.

I really hate to see Toby get caught up in this nonsense. I would not worry to much about him. The positive groove he is getting well offsets your disappointment in him.

and his dissing of her, not at his song.Check your facts before posting. There are many, many sources. She made snide, anti American comments about THE SONG. Mr Keith did not respond at first, electing to take the high road, but after her continuous mouthing, he did respond. Mrs pasdar has no class and should not be mentioned in the same paragraph as real Americans.
