The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Cool! - We'll take late comers! Course - we figured the cost based on the number of promises at each stage.... but I don't think it is a problem to send too much.
I guess if more than 11 actually send $$$, ksen will just have a fund available to buy food and such with.

If I come I can bring some of my anime with me... is your brother cool? He's cool...yeah. My favorite brother...or anyway, the one I get along best with. He's a lot of fun.
He DOES, however, play bagpipes. I'll try to get him to leave those at home. ;)

Exactly which days we have the castle January 9th to the morning of January 16th 2004.
What days people are planning to arrive
Probably January 9th since the main Entmoot day is scheduled for Saturday the 10th.
Where in Florida I'd fly into
You can fly into either Orlando or Melbourne. Melbourne is a lot closer, because it is the town we are staying in, but Orlando is probably cheaper. Either way we can find you a ride.
Whether I can get a ride from the airport to wherever since I can't rent a car...
Yes, you can get a ride. I'll come and get you if I have to.
How much I need to pay for a share of the castle
Right now $164 is due. I need to have it paid by the end of September. There will be another $220 or so due by 12/24/03 which will be refunded once we get out and the place is cleaned up.
Also, ksen, what sort of church is it you attend?
I attend an independent Baptist Church. Here's the website: Faith Baptist Church.
There is also a good Presbyterian church just down the street from ours that our church gets along with. It is Covenant Presbyterian Church. I don't know if they have a website or not.

He's also the whistle player in the family. A very good one.
You ARE bringing whistles, right?
To: HairOfTheDog
Cool pictures, Hair! Wish they weren't so tiny!
Ramius is TALL, isn't he? Or are all of the rest of you really short? ;)
To: Wneighbor
It was a few years ago (how long?).... We went to a whole Series of speakers over a summer.... I remember well Colin Powell, Maggie Thatcher, and Barbra Bush... They weren't all conservative, and I can't now remember who else we saw.
Colin Powell is an impressive figure in a room.... a very strong but confident and calming influence.... He commands respect without saying anything. I was very impressed by him.

Well, my dad and I are kinda short, but I was surprised to see how tall Ramius is.... I remember Colin Powell being a pretty imposing figure.

Forced perspective? ;)
He's really a dwarf?

I was just browsing my church's website and I found this picture of my oldest son, Josh, during this past summer's VBS....
WN, he was very excited to see you had sent us a letter. He was hoping the check was for him. ;^)

I can see that in the way his persona projects on camera as well. He has presence. Bet it was enjoyable for you all.
That is a very nice looking guy standing beside you BTW.

I don't go anywhere without my whistles. As a matter of fact, I had my nicest whistle, my Mack Hoover PVC Soprano D with brass tuning slide in the trailer and meant to play it for g'nad and family...but FORGOT!!

If Bill comes, prepare to be lectured at length on the superiority of Sweetone whistles.
Though lately he's also been playing a Dixon D and a Susato VSB D. Not very often, but for some things.

I just called the place that put those forums together.... the number to order prints, to see if they were still in business and could hunt down those pics for prints.... no luck. Missed opportunity.

Thanks ksen. I think I can have a definite yes/no by Friday, and if it's a yes you'll have the money... I'll mail it Saturday if I'm coming.
Cross your fingers, but I think I'm coming...

I wonder if someone with some photo enlargement skills could still make a decent (if not great) print of them. Could it be?
Are you guys seeing this about there being a school shooting in CA? What a world we live in.
