The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Anybody got any troll-out? I've got a live one over on the "Is This Your King?" thread...
To: JenB
Pretty cool about "The Hobbit." But there's no way that "King Kong" will be "even better."
To: Corin Stormhands
No, I think he's had too much pipeweed there. Maybe he meant "better than previous King Kongs"?

hmmm, which is proper: "King Kongs", or "Kings Kong"?
To: JenB
Richard Taylor, whose special effects workshop made 48,000 props for the trilogy and whose work earned two Oscars, says "King Kong" will be even better than Lord of the Rings. Silly boy.
To: Corin Stormhands
Ah. Missed that. Obviously he likes building models of cars and city scenes better than swords and stuff. Loser.

or a lovely pterodactyl?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Kings Kong, if it is the plural. King Kong's for the possive, which is -- anything he wants?

Argh. I'm supposed to work until 8 tonight, I've promised close to 8 hours of overtime this week.
Unfortunately the new lovely bugs in our software, that I can't exactly fix, mean that I can't do what I wanted, which is finish off one set of configurators, but have to start on another set... which will be ok but that's not what I wanted to do.
Is it morally wrong to steal someone's large flatscreen monitor for pulling a stunt like that?

Is it morally wrong to steal someone's large flatscreen monitor for pulling a stunt like that? I'm sure we could find another technical support person to grant you absolution.
To: Corin Stormhands; JenB
She has to anointed with toner for absolution.

In case you've missed one of the FOUR (so far) threads, Al Gore is endorsing Howard Dean.
I'm outta here folks. Gonna go string up more lights. See y'all later.

Anybody got any troll-out? I've got a live one over on the "Is This Your King?" thread... Soon as I got to work and got set up I started throwing logic in the no-logic zone again. Somebody should stop me from that someday - but I had to after I saw the phaser attack spam! I couldn't help myself!
