We're planning our weekender for Mid-October. I love it!

Where do y'all go camping? When we had our tent trailer, we used to go up to NH a lot. We loved the lakes region, and found a nice campground on the shore of Little Squam lake.

I stood on the shore, watching the sun sink and the shad sparkling on the top of the water in the sunlight...heaven on earth!

That DOES sound like heaven on earth! I love the water, and find it the most relaxing thing in the world to do; just sit and look at the water. Whether it's calm and slick as glass, or really choppy in a storm, it's always so lovely!

I'm out of power for 8 days, and gone for 5 days and I still end up in the top ten?

That is really what it looked like! It was a vine and it was covered in green thorns. One of them "hooked" me and just sliced my shin open when I took the step.

The trailer is great! I esp. like the part where Frodo is running, turns and sees Shelob and as he turns, she recoils from the light. It's fast, you'll have to watch for it.

Okay, first photo is what it looks like in spring when it's young and tender and good to eat. This is more like what it gets like in summer and fall. You can see the little thorns starting to grow out on this one. They get about 1/2" long. They continue to grow through the seaon while the leaves get tougher and stringier and not good to eat.

Well, you can see I've been pre-occupied this week (three posts)!

I had a big interview on Friday and another, different, but lesser one today. So I've been completely focused on the never-ending job hunt.

Alas, Hair and ecurbh, the wife and I were completely done in on Saturday night -- we crashed about 7:30 (snoozing on the couch) and ended up doing nothing more than watching the Brame thing on CBS' 48 Hours (I need to stay current on Tacoma, I guess).

Yeah, that stuff grew all up in back of my garage at the old place. Only good thing about it was in the spring I got some nice greenery for salads. You could never ever get rid of the stuff. Even with Round-Up!

Hey, the campground didn't have showers...so we had to shower in my mom's trailer shower...but the camp didn't have sewer hookups, so we had to be careful of how much water we used, so as to not have the tank fill up. I took a bath in an inch of (very nicely hot) water!

All three of us got an inch of water each to bathe in!

Josh is soaking in a hot tub FULL of water right now. Then Matthew, then ME! LOL

It's alright Scott! - We understand 'done in!' we are a bit tired today too... and have decided to stay close to home...

Gonna take ecurbh down to our little Tumwater Falls, and we may even watch LoTR... we haven't done that yet!
