Holding steady in second place...though I think to date I'm only in the top five.
Now if only I could count those towards NaNoWriMo...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Thanks bear! I love mediocrity in this regard!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Hmmmmm...
Sitting alone there in last place with only one puny little post makes me feel kinda meek.
This reply oughta get me up to at least "2" in the "To Date" column, and leave a little room for someone else on the bottom of the totem pole.
;^)

Somehow I doubt that you are spending any less time talking to someone from the Hobbit Hole though. You were just so good at it you moved one of us in with you! :-)

Rosie, this writing thing is about motivating yourself when you aren't motivated. You just do it because you'll never get off your duff and write a novel on your own. And even if you only write 4000 words all month, it's still more than you'd write anyway....
She says as her word count comes along ok. Um. I'm not going to get to write tomorrow so I need a buffer...
Darn it! I like these characters!

Hullo!!!
I haven't caught up yet... have I missed anything since Saturday?

She says as her word count comes along ok.OK? OK????
I'm feeling decidedly mediocre. However, I do have my first thousand out of the way, which is something. Getting started is one of the hardest parts.
When do we start posting stuff on the Yahoo site, and what should we post?
To: Ramius
Haven't missed anything much other than the usual Hobbit Hole stuff. NaNoWrMo, Troop stuff, your sister flirting with that guy....

Post when and what you'd like!
When I finish off this chapter, I think I'll post the first three to the site. Hee... the Heroine and her True Love are having some really interesting banter...

NaNoWriMo - short for National Novel Writing Month.
It's a challenge...to write a 50,000 word "novel" (too short really for a novel) in a month. About five of us did it last year...three finished, as I recall: Jen (who was done in about a week...), OT and I.
I'm having a hard time getting started this year, and I also have NO idea where I'm goin' with it.

Hello! Steve is working on his schoolwork, I'm sitting here drinking tension tamer before the kids go to bed.
I made a deal with Matthew. You know how when I bought the new fridge a while back, I didn't get it with an ice maker? Well, that's a bummer cause I hate making ice. So, I "hired" Matthew to make the ice. I told him that for every ice tray he fills and puts in the freezer, I'd give him a nickel. He can't go in and empty them out, he's just responsible for checking to see if there are any empty trays. We have five ice trays, so the most he could possibly make at one time is a quarter. There is a labeled jar on top of the fridge for the change.
He's tickled. He checks frequently to see if there are any empty trays! Woohooo! I have an icemaker!

It's worth it to me...I really hate to make ice. And he doesn't even have anything he wants to buy...he just likes making the money!

Can I whine? I'm gonna whine.
My brother's car needs a new water pump. They didn't put it in yet. So I hafta get up at five thirty AGAIN tomorrow to take him to work.
*whimper*
To: 2Jedismom
LOL... Well, I always thought I'd like to have an ice maker too. Now that it's just me in the house it's not too much trouble to make ice. But, as you know, that's a recent developement. When the kids were home it was an all-the-time chore!

*hands on hips pointing finger*
You need to just tell your brother to get his act together and BUY your car so you don't have to do this no more!!!
