That was one of the things that I really didn't like about the first Left Behind movie. Jesus' name was only mentioned, maybe twice. And one of the times was not when the reporter character prayed for salvation in the restroom.
The quality of the movie/story had nothing to do with it?
I'm reading the series, but for pure entertainment value. It's a shame how poorly written they are.
