Okay, Corin has decisions to make...(sorry if'n I fergot to ping some of ya...)

1) Y'all know how much I've b!#@$ed about the pool board. But in the last month thing really have turned around. I've tentatively made a commitment to stay around another year. However, if our equity loan on the property doesn't come thru, we'll most likely never make it to open next year.

2) Last fall was pretty crazy with my f-i-l's illness and death as well as the rehearsal schedule leading up to the Christmas production. I've taken a break from choir and plan to go back the first of September. But I've gone back and forth on whether or not I want to be in the production again. I have a ton of stuff I need to get done around the house, but the bulk of that has to be done by the end of September anyway when my m-i-l moves in.

Still, being in the production wipes out Saturdays in October and November, and closer to the production run it's every night.

Walking along the beach last week I made my "final" decision to go back to choir, but not do the Christmas show. Jr. called a while ago and said we got the notice in the mail for the informational kick-off meeting on September 4. So I'm wondering again...

If I don't do it, I know I will miss being involved. If I do it, I'll be giving up a lot of "free" time.

I've thought about just signing up for "all cast" and not auditioning for a role.

What to do...

Oh dear.

If you would miss being in the show, I think you should do it.

The pool board, it doesn't seem, has brought you much pleasure, that decision surprises me!

Stick to your decision: choir yes, Christmas production no.

Also make your staying on at the pool contingent upon the loan coming through. No loan, no dwarf.

Remember, it's ok to say "No", even to church things.

I don't know Corin, sometimes busy people make better use of time than those who have lots of free time.

I suddenly sympathize with your trials of being pool president. This year I'm president of my fishing club, which is actually lots of fun. But dealing with all the little squabbles is so aggravating. I keep saying to myself, why do folks choose to be insulted instead of choosing to solve things.
