That reminds me of a discussion with a Republican friend. Senator Cornyn is coming a round the state trying to drum up support for his guest worker idea. He got an earful from one of the activists (the guy I was discussing this with), so our local Republican functionary (in a party position, who happens to be a lawyer) got up and announced that immigrants werent talking jobs people wanted and "he wasnt worried" about losing jobs to immigrants.

As my friend recounted this, I blurted out: "Well of course he's not worried" I replied "How many *lawyers* are crossing the Rio Grande from Mexico?"

Not particularly. But I have many friends and relatives that have been displaced by this Administrations worker/job policies.

That's pretty short-sighted. Unemployment eventually begets more unemployment, when those unemployed people begin NOT buying the good or service you have to offer. So even if you aren't the one displaced by illegals taking your job for a fraction of the salary, it will catch up to you eventually. Unless you own a big corporation.
