Too fast for bio.
People do NOT become critcally ill because someone near them vomits.
People do NOT pass out because someone near them vomits.
Our 'betters' don't want us to worry our pretty little heads about it.
In 25 thousand words or less: Poison.

A dirty nuke would not be nearly as bad...apparently more a weapon for fear creation. Nuclear radioactive material dissipates in ability to kill you as it is dispersed as in the manner of a dirty bomb. The dispersal over a wide area would lessen the amount of rads which emenated from the source prior to dispersal. Basically radioactive material en-masse is dangerous depending on the level of radiation, but spread out it is much less lethal. Unless they were able to get a lot of material (meaning tons) in the dirty bomb it would not pose a significant health risk (besides the explosion of course) for a short period of time. It would make several blocks/buildings unusable but is more a weapon for panic than one to cause damage. I need to find the article I read, but apparently you would be fairly safe living in the area in which it went off for 10 years before you would see real problamatic effects, which would occur in the form of cancer and/or birth defects. I will post if I find it.
However, to use a radiological weapon is to pass the NBC threshold, requiring full NBC retaliatory measures by the US.

Whoa. I wonder what kind of poison it was...those poor people- how horrifying.
To: JustPiper
My sentiments exactly. I should have posted a "humor alert" along with that.
(This is re: Al Jazeera adopting a "code of ethics".)
I'm sure the families of all the victims of beheading who have had their executions aired by Al Jazeera find nothing whatsoever "ethical" about their broadcasts.

No idea. Pretty general symptoms. Could even be acute radiation poisoning for all I know...

If I were a guessing man, I'd guess carbon monoxide. Odorless, colorless, tasteless, symptoms match, and it can be made on site with virtually any fuel...

>> Bragging I think. <<
Yep, that and wishful thinking. Still, in no way does that diminish the threat against us. If Iran manages to build a few nuclear weapons, they'd hand one over to AQ quicker than the blink of an eye. I say weapons (plural) because I believe Irans nuclear ambitions spring from wanting to destroy (or at least counter-balance) Israel.
If Israel does stage a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, it'll start a major ME war, which will drag us into it.
Dangerous times we live in. Get prepared. Stay prepared. Always be aware of your surroundings. Some of our enemies walk among us.

IC.
Have been trying to find a low alcohol--5-7% wine with a gentle fruity taste with little or no tanin taste.
Any recommendations?

Jill, thanks for posting that. Scary, but informative. It kinda helps to know the mindset of these "evil-doers".

Just got back late last night from vacation. Glad nothing happened because I found out I was only 150 miles from D.C. Did not see anything out of the ordinary of all the places I traveled through. Now I gotta catch up on 4000 and something posts.
WestCoastGal you have freepmail.

I sent the parts particularly about Moslems who do not participate in Jihad will die as hypocrites. And made some personal comments referring to the other parts.
Some of my lengthy email list actually read a number of the docs I send. PTL.

Thank you for reporting your thoughts, they make sense.
You are welcome to use my stack of soap boxes, any time you want to vent.
John Rothman attempted to do a radio talk show Friday night, his question was "With what we know about Iran and their support of the terrorists and nuclear plans, should we do a
preemptive strike?"
Most of the San Francisco callers said NO, that we should send the UN and others to talk to them.
It is shocking to hear the young reject all thoughts of war.
John is a liberal, but he is also a reasonable person and no
other talk show host could have handled his question better or his reaction to the callers.
The callers agreed that if we had another 9-11, they would still feel that we should not strike, but that it could be
handled by talking it out.
There are now many voices and names that shout they are muslims who are calling all of the radio talk shows and pushing the anti-war platform. The young commies are buying it hook line and sinker.
I have been amazed at the commies who now call the Las Vegas station and repeat the commie agenda of the day, word for word the same on KDWN and on the other stations.
There was a site at the kerry website that had info for the days phone calls and what should be said. That was a couple months ago that I found it.
Thank you for all the work you do.
