According to Harvey Levin ("Celebrity Justice") from sources connected with both sides in Eagle, Colorado:
1) Kobe accepts a plea bargain for a non-sex crime misdemeanor such as Third-Degree assault. (misdemeanor, Kobe might get probation, wouldn't have to register as sex offender).
2) Kobe settles the civil case. Pays a financial settlement. Gives letter of apology saying, "that even though Kobe Bryant belived that he was doing nothing wrong, that she felt she had been assaulted in the hotel room, and for that he was sorry."
No plea deals struck, but parties talking about it.

With all due respect, I beg to differ. Rapist as far as I am concerned should be jailed and the key thrown away. To bear false witness, and send someone to jail for 20 yrs, is also a crime, and should be dealt with justly. You should read up on all the facts in this case, starting with her going to the back entrance to get to his room. Believe me, the case goes downhill from there. Right now the DA is scrambling for his credibility, and political life in this matter. What he has done with the facts while trying to hide behind the rape shield law of Colo. is dispicable. His first job is to get to the truth, not hide it.!!
Take it up with Juanita. Let her be your judge and Kobe's when you try to accuse her of a crime. There is no moral difference between your position and that of the ClintonFans who supported him. There is more evidence against Bryant than there ever was against Clinton.
This was a set up from the word go, and I realise it could not have been done without the cooperation of Mr. Bryant. You do not send a man to jail for 20 yrs, just because he is a stupid adulterous sob.

You are as confused and morally conflicted as all the men and women from the Clinton defense team. They had stronger arguments than you but savaged the victims just the same. They were zealous for their star, Bill Clinton. There is more evidence against Bryant than Clinton and Juanita's own words which I posted testify against you to your daughters and granddaughters( if you have any. )

Early reports had it that the victim didn't consider that she had been raped until she told her mother about it, and it was her mother said "You were raped."
I'm not a woman, but I have to think that if a sober woman of normal intelligence has sex while conscious, she knows right away whether or not it's rape. No?
I've listened to the talking heads on the tube and radio wringing their hands saying, "just because she had sex and other semen in her doesn't mean that consented to sex with Kobe."
What disengenuous spin....the evidence against him appears to be her word, his semen, and her bruises.
Why are not these experts saying, "her bruises must be dropped as evidence because there's no way to determine when they occurred and whether it was Kobe or the other man who caused them."
Her word can be impeached because it's probably not easy to account for sex within 3 hours of a forcible rape. You might use the "I just wanted control of my body back in my hands.", but that has a real hollow ring.
As far as semen present....well, yeah. Weren't we told once that up to 3 different men showed up in the tests on her clothing?
Why should Kobe settle and pay? Because the nation has already judged him "not provably guilty." And if it's cheaper to settle than to continue paying a stable of lawyers, then I can see that logic.
I think you have me confused with someone else...I never insulted the victim supporters. You will not find an example of your claim in my posts here. Feel free to check back and give me an example if you think I'm mistaken.
By the way, your remark about me being an African American seemed to imply that one could only assume Bryant innocent if one was an African American.

The majority of people who are coming to Kobe's defense are African American and Laker Fans.
