Hillary's real chances in 2008. Vanity.

Posted on 11/04/2004 9:58:01 AM PST by TechnicalEcstacy

Im sure some of you have seen the 2004 electoral map by county? I know Hillary is hugely popular among the MSM and electorate, but she (as will any Dem candidate) will surely be facing this unbelievable sea of RED! The south is almost completely Repub now, and I doubt she will translate well there. If turn-out on our side is good, she almost CANT WIN! Of course it depends on who we send on our side, but our prospects look good just from this perspective. In fact, I think this trend will continue for at least a few more election cycles. And just think how irrelivent the MSM will be 4 years from now. Or 8 years...12 years...

The Republicans need to begin marginalizing her now. Don't co-sponsor anything. Challenge every rant. Expose her past every time she attempts to "move to the center".

I disagree...I believe there would be enough women crossing over to make a difference.
If she separates/divorces x42i soooner rather than later, or gets Colin Powell as a running mate, she'd probably be a shoo-in.

I disagree. You will be surprised. If she runs all the Democrats will vote for her. You gotta remember we won't have Bush running anymore. We need a real strong person to run against her.

They can peal Arkansas off if she runs. If we have a Governor on the ticket from the upper Midwest or Northeast, we can make up for it easy.

All you have to do in order to understand Hillary is listen to one of her Hitlerian rants. Listening to these diatribes makes you cringe at the thought of her being called president. She is a personification of what is wrong with the democrat party.

If the democrat party doesn't do something to clean up its act, it will be a marginal 3rd party to the republicans and just about anything else.

Listen folks, Hillary is a bad candidate but so was Kerry. Hillary will also have much better advisers than Kerry. Bill Clinton is also loved by a lot of dems who probably voted for Bush this time. Bill effectively being on the ticket gives the dems something to vote FOR.

Anyone who thinks the dems can't win with any candidate they put up there is fooling themselves. All they have to do is win the Gore states plus one or two red states and it's over. A popular Dem from The South (maybe Florida) could be on the ticket and pull it off. For Republicans to win in 2008, Bush has to have another very good 4 years and we have to have a very good ticket on our side. We also need to ferret out vote fraud across the US and put a lot of offenders the federal pen to prevent them from stealing a close one next time.

She's got zero chance. Hillary will never be president, and you heard it here first.

Rush sometimes plays that truly horrific sound bite wherein Her Heinous screeches "I AM SICK AND TIRED..."

All the GOP needs to do is play that over and over again as a campaign commercial. It should scare the he!! out of the centrists (while reassurring the Moore-ons and DUmmies) that the White House is in striking distance of that harriden.

Anyone know if there a law that would prevent Bill Clinton from running for vice president on a 2008 hillary ticket?

The size of the sea of red will depend very much on who the Republicans nominate for president.

At the moment, there is no one in sight. If they nominate the wrong guy, another Bob Dole, then millions of people who turned out in 2004 will stay home, and hillary will have a much better chance.

Also don't underestimate the women's vote. Apparently a lot of Republican women voted for her in New York. First woman president. Big deal.

A strong candidate? We could run a litter box against Hillary and still make 1972 look like a close election.

The problem is we can't get cocky right now. They have 4 years to get a Dem in the White House and alot can happen in 4 years. We have to be on our guard. Look what they did after Bush Sr. They got a Dem in for 8 years of torture for us.

Exactly. Who can go against her?

We need to start planning now...including how to combat voter fraud in Philly, etc.

42% of voters in New York voted for Rick Lazio, instead of her.

That should tell you all you need to know about the state of her "popularity."
