The vast majority of the 1998 class of Free Republic are very good conservative Republicans, but why is it that many of the conspiracy theorists and Bush bashers came from the 1998 FR class?

P.S. This site is billed as a conservative forum, not a republican one.

Between his immigration policy, and now finding out that President Bush ISN'T gonna round up and kill all the democrats, I find myself pretty mad that I voted for the guy... That damned Bush. Leaving the democrats running around loose like that. Doesn't he care about America? Grrrr...

Let me just make an observation. A certain mentality interested in politics just naturally gravitates to apocalyptic thinking, which usually requires the existence of a particularly ominous
them, which in turn requires dark places where "conspiracies" are hatched.
Part of the art of understanding politics is to understand what is possible given the complex vested interests of all players in a particular scenario, and thereby accurately calculating the possiblity of "conspiracy" under whatever circumstances are being analyzed. Ninety-nine point nine percent of the time, the human condition being what it is, "conspiracy," on any large scale and to any wide effect, should simply be discounted as a explanation for why things are the way they are.

I sense a conspiracy to stop any discussion about conspiracies. Anyone suspected to be consciously conspiring to aid or start a conspiracy will be conscripted and consigned to conspiracy hell. ;-)

You have repeatedly called for the U.S. to give up on catching and deporting the illegals already here claiming it is impossible to round them up.
That qualifies you as an illegal lover.

??? Maybe...should simply be discounted as an explanation "to the person who believes it as true" for why things are the way they are.

At DU the lefties are running all type of insanely delusional conspiracy theories ... Bush is going to kill or imprison every Democrat in the country. You know, I'm not big on conspiracy kooks either, but you've yet to explain how this is a bad thing...;)
