It was a blow when a case of 16s went from $2 to $2.25. How dare they?

When I was in high school circa 1988 you could get a case of Milwaukee's Best at the local Phar-mor for about $5.50 a case. They had 'em stacked to the ceiling.

A good mead is addictive as hell......... It goes way too fast. I've only made it once and it was sweet.

I like the procrastinator bock recipe.... I make it a couple times a year. Here's a link for it. I buy mine locally but they don't have a web site.

Stay safe !

My mead is a bit drier, and I do something a little special to it. I like to make mine sparkle. It takes a bit longer, but the product is worth it IMO.

I also add couple of pounds of maple syrup and 4 or 5 pounds of berrys to the boil. This time it was blueberries. It looks like a sparkly purple sunset, and the taste is hard to describe but it's wonderful.

The neighbor lady promised to perform unnatural acts on my person if I made her a case of it. I'm trying to get Mrs. L to see the offer my way.

If we ever get to gether, we'll crack a bottle.

Man, I moved from MA to Japan for a job. Japanese beer is kinda nasty. They sell Bud here, and I drink it a lot- but it costs me the equiv. of about $15 for a sixer of tall boys! I recently saw a case of 30 Bud bar bottles being sold for the equiv. of $60!!!

Want to go into business?
When I was in the Navy I was in Yokuska and Sasebo for a while. Man, you are right the beer is bad. Japanese burbon was even worse. That may be the real reason we nuker them.
The only good thing about their beer was the size of the bottles :)

I prefer German beer, especially St. Pauly Girl Dark.
I worked for 3 months in Stuttgart back in 2000, and found a local beer, Swabianbrau Das Swartze. Best beer I ever tasted. Black as soot, not bitter, and rich and full bodied. I can't find anything like back here in VA. Drank lots of it when I was in Germany. It was as cheap as Coca-Cola (and a lot more enjoyable).
