This litany from "The most conservative Senator." Conservatives like this erode the party from within, and are arguably more dangerous than Democrats who are open and honest about what they believe and vote accordingly. Santorum is the enemy within.

Hat Tip to Chris Lilik and www.grassrootspa.com.

Get rid of the PA Governor. Do something that would help.

Hogwash. Santorum's ACU rating for 2004 was 96, six points higher than 1993.

I didn't like his support for Specter, either. But that's water under the bridge. A choice between Santorum and Casey is a no-brainer. Santorum.

Bump. He--like Mr. Bush--talks a good game, but always seems to be loudest on issues that can't be won, while remaining quiet where leadership is needed and can win a battle.

I agree. It's time someone holds him accountable for his demonstrated duplicity and lack of leadership at critical points.

I've seen some articles that say Ed may run for President.

And we all thought Kerry was a joke!

Looks like the Democrats have found a home on FR! Talk about from within! Can you believe the number of new screen names on here claiming to be "conservative" but wanting Democrats elected. Anyone is better than a Republican conservative crowd.

This is a bunch of hogwash again!

The Rats and the MSM are doing their best to bring him down. They did it with Newt.

Don't blame the rats and the MSM. He's done this to himself by saying one thing, and doing the exact opposite. It's time, past time, that he's held accountable to those voters who elected him because of his stated position on the pro-life issue. At a CRITICAL juncture, the ascension of Arlen, he turned his back on every one of those voters. Enough.

I do not support Casey, I simply cannot continue to support Santorum and his "conservatism when convenient," "Conservatism when politically expedient."

When we can not trust our elected representatives to vote according to their professed positions, then it's time to oust them, be they Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Constitutional Party.

Do something that would help.

That would be constructive. I have seen a bunch of posts trying to purge Santorum from the party, which is ridiculous and stupid. He has an ACU rating of 96. That is one vote off of being 100% and one of the highest scores out there.

I'm not a new screen name--and if you won't say, "I know it, you're the same old curmudgeon", I won't say, well . . . you know how it descends to petty ad hominems.

I don't want Democrats elected. I want Republicans who are conservatives in more than image elected. Your view of the relative conservatism of different people and my view are what are at issue here. That's fine, but "newbieness" or being trolls has no bearing on any argument. I'm very sorry to say that the evidence has been mounting, and will continue to mount, that the conservative base of the party has been abandoned.
