The fact that harrowup is a liberal should surprise no one whose been here fer awhile, as I've never seen him hide the fact. However, if you get to know harrowup, you'll find that he is a classic liberal, even so far as being a libertarian. Libertarians are not ultra-leftists, trolls or disruptors, imho

For what it is worth, harrowup in the early days of FR did freely admit to being a democrat, strange as that may seem though I don't remember any ACLU disclosure.
I've come around to the conclusion that harrowup has certain masochistic tendencies and disclosing IT's association with left wing causes works towards that.
IT just seems to enjoy being intellectually beaten up, flamed and clubbed with the truth over and over again for whatever twisted reason.....
I think the Freepers Of Questionable National Allegiance (FOQNA) help our cause when they put their Anti-American, Seditious Idiocy on full display for everybody to see.

That said, I have always considered libertarians to be more liberal and only appear conservative when they are talking about money and the (gasp) thought of having to share it with someone less fortunate.
Most of the Libertarians that I know personally are academics and Unitarian so my exposure is jaded.
Then again, most internet conservatives and liberals are just a touch too inflexible so perhaps the problem is the medium not the message.

Thats what you ACLU types dont get. We dont like the government forcing us to share it. Your type feels good and charitable by voting for those that will increase taxes on everybody. We feel charitable by *gasp* actually giving our own money to charity.
The ACLU has nothing to do with charity or kindness.
I joined the ACLU after seeing a couple of dumb cops beating up a Zuni on the sidewalk in Flagstaff, AZ in the early 50's for no other reason than he was a Native American and back then the Green River laws were in effect...you know those laws named for your pal Tancredo's state of Colorado's Green River which placed curfews on minorities such as Native Americans and Mexicans.
They took some offense at my outrage and whacked me a few times and threw us both into the stockade. It took some nine years but they eventually lost their jobs, thankfully before they killed someone in their dedication to enforcing the racist laws of the time.
As far as your donations to charity, given your other comments, I would have to see a receipt.
Consider me a Pro-Life libertarian who supports our efforts in the Mideast 100%!!
