Sorry, Neal, how serious Terri's impairment was had nothing to do with it. I was whether anyone, including Terri herself, had the right to kill (by torture) anyone based on the killer's assessment of the quality or amount of life of the victim. Those unable to understand this concept obviously have no quality of life. Nuff' said?

I agree with you. To me, it would be helpful to know if rehabilitation would have been beneficial, but it shouldn't have been the controlling factor. No one, no matter how disabled, should be starved/dehydrated to death. I'm also wondering if there was no possibility that rehab ever could have helped... why was the husband awarded money at the malpractice trial for the cost of such rehabilitation?
