Actually, fried up just right and they are delicious. Years ago I lived on a cattle ranch and assisted in the annual harvest that took place every New Year's day. We'd cut 10 gallons worth. (As an aside, bulls do scream.) Roy Clark of Hee Haw fame flew into town every year for half the booty. Truly, they are considerably better than everything you listed with the possible exception of escargot.
