Another thing that I'm doing is - - my son was killed in 2004, so I'm not paying my taxes for 2004. If I get a letter from the IRS, I'm gonna say, you know what, this war is illegal; this is why this war is illegal. This war is immoral; this is why this war is immoral. You killed my son for this. I don't owe you anything. And if I live to be a million, I won't owe you a penny.
And I want them to come after me, because unlike what you've been doing with the war resistance, I want to put this frickin' war on trial. And I want to say, "You give me my son, and I'll pay your taxes."
But according to Solano County, CA, Cindy Sheehan has had a tax lien on her property since 1996:

The above tax records were uncovered by Freeper RGSpincich.
No, these are public records. No one here is trying to open sealed divorce records (the Dems in Illinois did with Ryan when he ran for governor) or open sealed adoption records (the NYT tried with John Roberts).
I want to put this frickin' war on trial. And I want to say, "You give me my son, and I'll pay your taxes."
I don't believe a tax court will let that happen.
Wonder what salary she pays herself as the head of the non-profit. Someone's got to do the clerical work, you know. ;-)

Thanks. But we need to point out that the state lien was released in August of 1997. California garnishes wages (use to be 100%) quickly for tax debts.
The IRS lien that was filed in 1998 was released in September of 2004. The source of funds for that release is being discussed. Seems her survivor benefits not only paid her delinquent taxes but served as a downpayment on a house she purchased in June of 2004.
Or smuggle them in their pants from the National Archives.
She also has bad teeth. Sorry.
Thank you--
goodness, her husband files for divorce in the last few days, it looks like..
and their taxes were in arrears before she announced she wasn't going to pay her taxes THIS YEAR because President Bush won't speak to her?
WOW-what a life!
Lol, no. It doesn't work that way. In the case of property tax liens, if they aren't payed, the property can be seized, and then be auctioned off, with the owner getting all the proceeds above and beyond those used to pay the property tax. You just can't buy the property for the price of the back taxes. lol, I wish though, I wish.

GSFP is a 501C3 non-profit organization
But try to find it listed on any of the data base lists...I can't find it.
I'm not sure about all the terminology, but in the first example it actually looks like the lein was released, satisfied or withdrawn (Rel/Sat/With) by the govt. in 1997.
Seems possible.

Some tooth whitener is in order for her.
The data you provided shows the lien released in 1997.
Sure looks like they are not a 501(c)3:

The previous owner then has something like 90 days to come up with the cash, plus interest of course, or the person who paid the tax bill is the new owner all nice and legal.
Too bad it doesn't work that way in CA.

And guess who's taking the donations that are paying St. Cindy's way...? (Can you say 'tax dodge...?')
"The data you provided shows the lien released in 1997."
Could you explain how it shows that? (I'm not saying it doesn't. I just am not seeing it. But I'm not tax expert.)
kinda getting dirty here
Maybe..but I thought all of a sudden her making this anti-tax statement was weird.
