One of his big expenses is that he's having a lot of his money confiscated by the government to pay for raising your children.

My 8 year old is in public school because I cannot afford private school on my budget.

My 3 year old is taken care of by my mother.

I am not signed up with any kind of government assistance - something I pride myself on.

So you place your condescending commentary where the sun don't shine, doll.

BRAVO.

I was wondering when the anti-public school comments were going to begin.....but I wanted to see if you responded before I commented upon that.

You have every right to take pride in what you are doing for yourself, your children, and your mother. You remind me of my sister-in-law, a woman I greatly admire for how she handled the adversity of life.

Her 2 daughters are now in their 20s and so on track as to be amazing to me.

Keep up the good work.

I don't think my comment to you was any more condescending than your comment to AdamSelene235 was. People with six figure incomes and no children pay a boatload in taxes, a good chunk of which goes to public schools for other people's children. Your comment to him that "You must have a lot of expenses" followed by boasting about all you do on less than $40,000 a year, sounded pretty snide, considering that he IS paying a good chunk of change to subsidize your public-schooled child. I commend you for not clawing even more out of taxpayer funds, but it's intellectually dishonest to claim to be self-supporting when you are availing yourself of more taxpayer-funded services than you pay for.

"I am not signed up with any kind of government assistance - something I pride myself on."

Really? Did you pay your taxes without claiming two kids? Did you take free schooling for them? Stop by the library with them recently? Take them to the county pool? Use those neighborhood parks or athletic fields? I would bet the answer is yes to more than one of those questions.

You people slay me. You're all ready to bitch about high taxes nominally only caused by 'welfare moms' and 'pork,' but when it comes to your own entitlement programs, they're just 'what government ought to pay for,' and it's sacrilege for anyone to call you out for utilizing government for your own ends. You want condescending commentary? How about I just take it to the next level, and let you know you're obviously a pompous Pharisee who doesn't like being caught at it!?!?
