Thanks for the AMW link. No wonder Dave is as pissed as Beth - he did have hope he'd still find her - and that disappeared.

I can't quite shake the tin foil - that if they make the family believe she's dead, they'll stop looking for her (not justice but her) and they can traffic her like they want to - I KNOW, i know - but that is a thought that just won't leave my head....

As much as I'd like to think Natalee is alive, I doubt it. I don't think it was chocolate and cleaning fluid found in Deepak's car.

I think Natalee probably died of a drug overdose because of Joran's statement about her going in and out of consciousness. I think it might have been Natalee's bodily fluids other than blood that was in Deepak's car.

My second scenario is Joran killed her in a rage. He is known to have a raging temper. And rape has an element of control, abuse and humiliation of the victim.

I realize this response is rather later, but I just found this thread due to a ping. I too think some form of the traffic trade has something to do with her disappearance. She still might be dead, but I think she was taken originally to hand over to those who traffic people. The Charles Croes' strange remarks early on, hinted at something so horrible that people would be shocked by it - a dirty little secret - so to speak.

I watched a 4 hour movie about human trafficking on the Lifetime channel about a month ago. It was based on the very real problem of human trafficking. What I've stated doesn't take away the possibility that Joran and his buddies didn't kill her, but their intention for taking her may have been for the purpose of trafficing. Due to Juran's anger or something else, she may have died before that happened. Or another possibility - the 3 mislead authorities to save their sorry butts from death by those who deal in human sex trade.

Early on there was even a story by Jossy of 3 persons who were holding Natalee captive and trying to get her off the island. I hope the day will come when the truth is finally told.
