MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alabama Gov. Bob Riley called for a travel boycott of Aruba on Tuesday until authorities on the Dutch Caribbean island cooperate more fully with the family of a Mountain Brook teenager who has been missing since a graduation trip in May.
Riley asked the governors of the other 49 states to join him in urging a boycott of Aruba on behalf of the family of Natalee Holloway, an 18-year-old Mountain Brook High graduate last seen on the island May 30.
Her mother, Beth Holloway-Twitty, joined Riley at the Alabama Capitol for the boycott announcement. She contends Aruban authorities have failed to adequately investigate the possible murder of her daughter, who was with a teenager, Dutch national Joran van der Sloot, and Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe on the night she disappeared.
They were held for a time and released.
See post 279 and then tell me again how I skipped your question.
great, people can vacation in the FL keys... they need the revenue!
As for me, I wouldn't give creeps the time or day, much less hang around them, tip a beer toward them, or even dance with them.
Oooooh, I'm sure everyone wanted to know that. Makes you feel like a big man, huh?
Greta should be asking that question.
"Yes, it would be stupid to leave money on the bar. Bet you wouldn't do that unless you were mentally incapacitated."
Or you trusted the people around.
"Can you say for certain that Natalee was fully aware of what she was doing when she left the bar with the criminals?
"
I can say for certain that she knew what she was doing when she went IN that bar. I can say for certain that everything she did in that bar was her choice and one choice lead to another....this has been my point all along. If she wasn't full aware....she brought that on herself. If that lack of awarness was exploited that is the fault of those that did so.
That was my post I pasted you goofball, quoting the loon who was making absurd insinuations, which contains the quote of mine. Like I said, you're having trouble following the thread.
I'm man enough to take responsibility for my own actions, even if that means avoiding the irresponsible creeps around me.
Of course, the poster that was making those looney-bird posts hasn't been heard from since. He tucked tail and run when he was confronted with his own stupidity.
I think you lack information on date rape drugs.
Read a few accounts of victims and you'll see a common thread in their experiences.
Once you have read these accounts, you might realize how Natalee could have been unknowingly drugged and not appeared so to her friends while being unable to think clearly. Victims become docile and easily led away by strangers without any appearance of distress. This can happen within the first moments of drugging the victim, then the drug effects increases as time passes.
"Natalee could have been unknowingly drugged and not appeared so to her friends while being unable to think clearly. Victims become docile and easily led away by strangers without any appearance of distress. "
If she was easily lead away where were her friends?
Which friend was the last to speak directly to her?
When were they seperated physically? What was going on at that time?
SEE how it KEEPS coming back to those questions???
AGAIN I have already said she COULD have been drugged. So where do you get off saying you think i do not know anything about so called "date raped drugs"?
BWAAAAAA HAHAHAHAH READ THE THREAD DUDE.
FFS
try chronic loser....if memory serves me correctly.
I attributed it to me, a quote I stand firmly by on, now run along to bed, I hate long goodbyes.
That is all you have isn' it........
sure seems kinda trollish....a TROLLS TROLL indeed!
It is a good thing that you are teaching your children to be responsible for everything they do, BlueStateDepression. Are you also teaching them that they are responsible for everything OTHERS do as well?
Mozrock, I don't think that the boycott of Aruba is being caused only because Natalie Holloway is still missing. I believe that the boycott is more about the way the Holloway case has been handled by the Aruban authorities. If you both believe in "personal responsibility", then perhaps you can see that the Aruban authorities must be held responsible for their actions as well. They obviously do not care about persuing the perpetrators of this crime, and maybe with some pressure placed on them, they will finally do what they should have done six months ago.
So where do you get off saying you think i do not know anything about so called "date raped drugs"?
-----
If she was drugged at that time surely her friends would have noticed this right, and not left her alone?
-----
No, her friends might not have surely noticed if she had been drugged. I explained the reason for this in my previous post. So I do think you need to learn more about date rape drugs to hone your opinion.
I pray that Natalie is alive, that she will be found, so she can take your advice and learn from her mistake. Not sure exactly which mistake you want to pin on her, but whatever....
THe blame belongs to whoever hurt Natalie. Don't give those evil people a free ride for their actions. They are 100% responsible. They didn't have to hurt her. Do you even get what you are saying? They had a choice as we all do. Ever seen someone drunk? If so did it give you a right to hurt them or steal from them? Don'e give these murderers an inch. They already feel that they are above the law.
