I totally support a boycott of sending naive high school students on week long, under chaperoned trips to party towns where it's all about gambling, booze, sex, and hanging out all night in seedy bars.

They were high-school GRADUATES! Lord knows college towns aren't party towns with booze and sex and surely don't have "seedy bars". What kind of chaperones were they going to have when they left for college in a couple of months?
