I agree. Why do the people on this board seem more concerned with a welfare mom aborting an unwanted baby, but mock parents who are desperate to have help finding their likely murdered high achieving daughter?
I would have more sympathy for the parents if they had ever spoken up about their own lack of responsibility in sending their child on such a foolhardy vacation.
They could be speaking out about the inappropriateness of senior booze/sex vacations, about proms where parents rent hotel rooms and buy booze, and pushing the idea to kids that you can have fun at home (or at least in the same state) and you can take that dream vacation to a party island when you are older and wiser.
Everything they have done abrogates their own responsibility, when they could be accomplishing so much in our crazy society by speaking out.
I'm not mocking NH's parents. But people disappear all the time and sometimes they disappear because they are murdered, and sometimes the crime is never solved because of LEO/government incompetence, particularly in places like Aruba, where murders are rare. If we are going to boycott every state and country where someone has literally gotten away with murder because of LEO/government errors and/or ommissions, then forget about visiting Kalifornia, Washington, D.C., Floriduh, and just about any place else in the world.
