I don't see how skepticism is incompatible with condemnation. I think the majority would agree that if it did actually occur, it should be condemned. There are a sad few who seem to disagree, but I think that's what most of us think. It probably didn't happen (way too many red flags), but if it did, then the people responsible should be held accountable.

I do hope a very thorough investigation is conducted.
There is also the possiblity that it could be an assault unrelated to his recent notoriety--like a gay-bashing.
