Yeah, but lurking--my brother has been admitted to ICU here with DVT (blood clots in his legs) AND blood clots in his lungs and so I really don't have time for the "we support your daughter even though she's from evil" mentality--got more important things to worry about right now, like listening to Maya pray to Jesus for her Uncle Buddy to feel better and not be in pain any more.

I don't mind a good disagreement, and I understand religious differences (my husband is a non-practicing Hindu from India) but to use ugliness to make your point, not called for. So this will probably be my last post on this thread.
(I know I've said that before, but this sort of thing is like rubbernecking at car accidents and train wrecks, you just can't help yourself sometimes!)

We would appreciate prayers for my brother and his immediate family from anyone who does pray, no matter what religious beliefs you have. TIA.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your child. :*(

Thank you for your post, you made many good points.
I appreciate it. God bless you, and I will say a prayer that He answers *your* prayers for a child someday soon, with no complications.

Actually, it is.

from:http://www.cdc.gov/ART/ART02/sect2_fig25-32.htm
(Latest available figures:)
"2002 Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Report: Section 2—ART Cycles Using Fresh, Nondonor Eggs or Embryos
Explanation of Figures, Section 2: ART Cycles Using Fresh, Nondonor Eggs or Embryos

What were the specific types of ART performed among women who used fresh nondonor eggs or embryos in 2002?
Figure 25

Figure 25 text below
(sorry, couldn't figure out how to put chart here)

Figure 25 is a pie chart representing types of ART procedures using fresh nondonor eggs or embryos, 2002. (Note: Cycles that were cancelled before egg retrieval were classified as IVF, GIFT or ZIFT based on the intended ART method.)

* IVF without ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection), 46.3%
* IVF with ICSI, 52.8%
* GIFT, 0.2%
* ZIFT, 0.5%
* Combination of IVF with or without ICSI and either GIFT or ZIFT, 0.1%"

also:
from:http://www.asrm.org/Media/Practice/statemnt.html
PRACTICE COMMITTEE STATEMENT
Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a variation of in vitro fertilization (IVF) which has been a standard clinical technique for many years. Several recent independent studies have demonstrated the efficacy and short-term safety of ICSI. Thus, its use for the treatment of male factor infertility is no longer considered experimental.

Approved by the Practice Committee of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (Formerly The American Fertility Society), October 24, 1994.

Approved by the Board of Directors of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (Formerly The American Fertility Society), November 5, 1994.

(We didn't need ICSI for any of our IVF cycles.)

Have it your way. You've shown yourself to be an obnoxious ass throughout this thread, and apparently incapable of a civil discussion. Have a good day.

Nice try at framing the debate into your secular, smarmy and insulting usual: "There is no argument from a scientific basis that disputes that so don't bother with the nonsense of thrown out, unused embryos ..." The 'thrown out embryos' is the crux of the wrong, so it's no surprise you wish to ignore that for your own stilted perspective.

Read what I said about throwing out embryos (and my wife and I don't do that). or........

Do you bother to read any previously posted comments you pompous jerk, or just spout off like the reast of the frauds and hypocrites here?

You too (like the "conservationist" or whoever it is) reframe and rewrite what I wrote to suit what you want to say.

Details, little "thinker"......details I say!!

BTW I am not framing "the debate"

There is no valid debate when one side has no moral foundation save "emotion".

Once more, I'll respond once to you but no further as my time is not to be frittered away.
