I'm not completely comfortable with it, but I'm starting to understand that we need to keep certain governments, like Dubai, engaged so we don't lose them.

One trades with a country to keep them engaged. One sends cultural exchanges with a country to keep them engaged. One engages in diplomacy with a country to keep them engaged.

One DOES NOT HAND OVER IMPORTANT PORTS, VIOLATING ONE'S NATIONAL SECURITY to a country to keep them engaged.

Did anyone else here see President Bush speak on this (on Fox News) a few minutes ago?

He said the Dubai company would NOT be in charge of port security, that that would rest with the Coast Guard and Customs.

Since Pres. Bush forced Israel to allow Hamas to come to power, I no longer trust his judgment.

This is another case in point.
