As a former smoker (quit a year ago) I told many people that public smoking bans were just the beginning. Now they are going to go after you in your home. Soon it will be considered child abuse to smoke around your kids. This IS going to happen. And liberals claim NOT to be communists.

Well, I am thankful my kid is grown and married.  I really pity the young people coming up today.  Everything is being banned and restricted.  No fun no more.

I know a LOT of smokers, almost everyone I know. None of them smoke around their children, whether it be in the home or the car. They all go outside to smoke when at home. ALL of them.My twins are long gone living their own lives, but when I get visitors who have children in tow, my wife and I smoke outside. Period.Just like I won't light up in any non-smoking places.......(that's why I spend very little $$ at restaurants or bars).

The smoking nazis are just that. There will be no let up or mercy from them. No matter what a smoker might do...."YOU STILL SMOKE AND WE WILL NOT TOLERATE THAT!!!

In Pennsylvania, when kids bring home their report cards, they also bring home their weight. Schools have to weigh them and if they are overweight their parents get a cautionary letter.

I give it about 3-4 years before children who are overweight are taken from their parents arms by child protective services because their parents have been accused of abuse in allowing their children not to be healthy.
