I have no clue. I asked Jonny and he doesn't know either. Kind of weird that we are in the same place as the evolution/creationism threads. My guess is it's because of the folks sending "abuse" alerts because "mean" comments about their favored contestant. Blame the "thin-skins."
It's a show, people. Relax!

I have never once used the abuse button in all the time I've been at FR. I just don't see the point, unless I'm being stalked.

I would guess it's because of the links to the gay sites, the gay content of a few comments, and the discussion about Kat's TA-TAs. The "t" word was probably over the top. Boobies is a much less "offensive" term.
We've had almost 30,000 comments with people being "mean", so I doubt that's what did it.
