You are correct that ultimate forgiveness does not come from any of us. Nevertheless, we still should in no way be so quick to give our own forgiveness to antisemitism.

We don't know for sure if the guy is an antisemite, but it's starting to look an awful lot as if he is. I've always had the feeling that Mel was a good guy, and maybe he is. I still don't like this glimpse of his dark side.

We hear alot on this forum about people who are attacking Christianity. How about a little forgiveness for them too? Because you can bet that some of them have good intentions too.

IMHO, antisemitism is ignorance combined with some degree of malice. As a Christian, I agree that those who are antisemetic should be rebuked at every pass. It is bigoted and it is hate-filled. It should be recognized for what it is, but I can't pass judgement on the man. I pray that God will guide his heart into the right place.

Luk 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

I equate Christian-haters with antisemites. I'll rebuke them for their ignorance and hate, but I'll leave the forgiving to a higher power.
