This has bothered me tremendously, and to anyone who has and will post comments about abortion here, I AGREE with you....I don't hold the animal kingdom in a place higher than humans.
I would be even more horrified if this story was about a child being killed.

It pains me in particular to hear stories like this because of the total helplessness of an animal (or child) when victimized. Unlike adults they are totally innocent and trusting and TOTALLY at the mercy of monsters who would do this and have no chance of evaluating the situation or getting away.

I know the Bible says man has dominion over the animal kingdom, but I firmly believe that does not give man the right to willfully hurt and torture animals. I believe God has a special punishment for people like this (and abortionists too).

I had to go hug my little baby doggie after I read this story. Animals (particularly dogs and cats) just bring so much into our lives and ask for nothing in return.

These two deserve to be dumped in the artic circle with some hungry polar bears and see what it feels like to be defenseless and at the bottom of the food chain.

Joshua Moulder, 17, and Justin Moulder, 18.

Omygosh, they were plenty old enough to know what they were doing. I hope they at least are being tried as adults.

The thing is, I betcha they would have no more compassion for a person they might have at their mercy. I hate to think these animals will be back out in the community.

I couldn't read the whole article, but scanned for the answer. The oven was set to 500°, but I'm not sure it was preheated first. My oven takes about 10 or 15 minutes to heat up to 500°.

Not guilty? Is it possible they didn't do it?

I am sorry to be morbid as well. But it eases my mind to think the 500 degree air suffocated the pup and he died quickly.

I hope as much..........

According to the court documents it was slow because the dogs nails were broken off and it defecated etc in the oven.

Jury hung in puppy trial

"..A Fulton County jury Friday is hung on most charges in the case of two brothers charged with stuffing a live puppy into a hot gas oven. It found them "not guilty" on another....

It is not yet known which charge of the 11 that jurors agreed on. .."

One day we'll probably be reading about how these two monsters bound, raped, & tortured to death some young woman. Most serial killers start off torturing defenseless animals. They should be executed right now -- obviously, something is seriously wrong with them.

I know the Bible says man has dominion over the animal kingdom,

Indeed it does ... it's a measure of a Man how he exercises his dominion ... whether it's over 'mere' animals or over whole nations of Men.

These two slugs (apologies to invertebrates) have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.

You know what? These same stupid jurors who cannot find the boys guilty will be the same idiots holding candles in a prayer vigil when the next person from their community is violently murdered.

Anybody know what the list of eleven charges are? Forgive me if it's buried in the article. I couldn't stomach reading the whole thing.

Does a hung jury automatically mean a not guilty verdict?
I thought it just means the jury could not agree.

These two will do that or something as cruel to a human one day.

Seems very likely - many serial killers and torturers have reportedly gotten their start by tormenting animals. To torture to death a pet that trusts people and doesn't even consider running away from you - despicable and depraved beyond belief.

One way or the other, they are dead men walking. They would get off easy with prison; much worse to have to face us dog lovers if they walk.

Nothing compared to the horrors of an abortion.

........

These two should be aborted right now with a red-hot poker.
