Yes, Rudy Giuliani Is a Conservative
City Journal ^ | Jan.25, '07 | Steven Malanga

Personally, I prefer Tancredo although I admire "America's Mayor," and this article sheds some light on Rudy's little known conservative and courageous accomplishments.

Please, go to Liberty Post and pull out all of my posts there where I "regularly trash" Free Republic "24/7". I'll wait. Here's the link.

Lots of doozies. You've been pretty busy over there since 2007.

It's 01/2006 and they have the white flag waving for Liberals and will not lift a finger for a Conservative.

Better run to the bank and get a new calendar.

Don't ever assume you know how everyone must vote.

I'd follow that advice if I was you.

Some people vote their conscience.

Most people do. Some (the undecideds) don't.

At least Romney realizes the need to build bridges to the right.

So Romney has to build a bridge to get to you?  That's it?  He's too far left of you?

Is that what they call Reaganites these days?

Reagan didn't care who voted for him. He wasn't someone who slashed, bashed and burned his opponent. He didn't have to. He had class, style, and dignity. He could outwit his opponents with his quick wit.

He sued gunmakers, dressed in women's clothes and tried to make NYC a haven for illegal aliens.

Wow, impeachable offenses. Yeah, let the impeachment trial begin.

"New Yorkers used to assume several things about the city," Giuliani said after the radio show. He slouched in an armchair across from his desk, his legs stretched out, his arms behind his head. "They assumed that it had to be dangerous, that it had to be dirty, that we were a welfare capital and we would have to stay that way, and that the city was unmanageable. That thinking is gone now."

This comment is interesting to me in 2 ways. First, as a former New Yorker I think he's correct about the NYC mindset of the 70's and 80's that I experienced. But more importantly, it shows a person who actually thinks.

Go look at the poll on the bottom of the page.

FR isn't a cross section of the American electorate.

Did you read the lawsuit carefully and did you live in New York City at the time? I don't think so. What Rudy did for NYC was totally right for the time and IT WORKED FOR NYC! I lived there and I still live there. Actually Bloomie is still reaping the benefits of Rudy's war on crime.

Narses said that he was not from New York, so narses is clueless on local politics in NYC.

I know people who have guns in the city during Rudy's tenure and still have them.

I know of one, Don Imus.

I think Rudy's a conservative and I think I'll use this forum to say so! There, I've done it!

Your presence here on this particular thread, and vigorous defense of Mr Pro Gay/Pro Abortion/Anti-gun/cheat-on-the-wife is clearly support.

Nah, Howlin is following Reagan's 11th Commandment, established during Reagan's run for Governor of California in 1966, and oft-times repeated by Ronald Reagan when he was president.

You go crying to LP every time you get a time out here. In fact, you have a cheering section there who are likely applauding you now.

Spiff will run to the safe arms of AuntB sooner or later.

Definitely not! My original comment was directed at her line "so much that nobody here gives one damn what you say or think?" meaning here on fr, so the poll data does apply. I know, Howlins has been here a little longer than me, and spends way more time at the keybard, but it doesn't make her any more correct.

I've been "outed" as you say many times by people who think there's something wrong with posting in other forums.

No one has a beef about you posting on other forms, you're just an outed AF'er, as in "Anti-FREEPER".

I came up with one post, because that's all I looked for; and onyx came up with one, too.

Texasforever found a third and I found a fourth. There's a whole bunch just in this month alone to choose from. We've barely scratched the surface. One thread goes as far as to mock the FReepathon held earlier this month. (That's the one I post)

I know -- I did for for one evening only! Guess you could call it a temporary pass!

I did for one afternoon. I remember it was on a thread about the battle of Fallujah. Had no correlation to trashing FR.
