I am hoping that Duncan Hunter can gain the necessary traction...

But, if he cannot... I will vote for Rudy.

Why? Is it because I agree with him on everything. No.

It comes down to this, and alot of Freepers dismiss this.

1) I like him. Personally. I like Rudy.

2) I believe he will prosecute the war on terror.

3) I believe he has enough appeal to bring Independents on board.

4) Much is said about his baggage. Who doesn't know it? He hasn't heard about his messy divorces, etc. Does it bother me. Yes... it is discomfiting.

To me, too many freepers are looking for the perfect candidate. Every thread posted about a candidate is littered with reasons why he will never be elected. No one is perfect and if perfection is our goal, we should just go home. Sometimes I feel as if I am in a fairy tale. This one is too liberal. This one is too unknown. This one is a Rino. This one will bring about the destruction of the country. WE CAN ONLY VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE WHO IS RUNNING! So, until the Stepford Candidate comes forward, it would behoove us to stop tearing each candidate to pieces and when we are through with the candidate each other.

BTW (not directed at you)... If the behavior of a poster can turn you off to a candidate, shame on you for being so easily influenced. Stand up for your beliefs and your candidate. If you can do that without resorting to name calling - then welcome to adulthood. (feels good to get that off my chest)

Not everybody is looking for perfection; most people are mature enough to realize that they're not ever going to find a candidate that they agree with 100 percent of the time.

It's just a small vocal group of bombthrowers who show up on EVERY candidate thread, demanding that nobody vote for this candidate or that candidate "or we'll leave the GOP."

I don't have a candidte yet, but I'll tell you this: anybody who doesn't vote for WHOEVER comes out of the primaries as the GOP nominee is NOT a conservative, nor do they care one damn bit about this country.

People can go on and on about who they won't vote for, so so will I: I will NEVER EVER cast a vote that gives ANY kind of support for any Democrat anywhere.

Nice reply, see my TAGLINE. I readily admit that I have been dragged into the gutter here, I am better then that, I am trying really really hard to state my beliefs in a calm and mature manner, it isn't easy on Rudy threads, LOL!
I hope to get my ideas across with good humor, logic, and a few graphics that I will create to make a discussion point now and again. I have mostly confined my replies to those who share my views on the candidate of my choice.
