[regarding being on a path to civil war]? Out of curiousity, why do you treat such musings with such incredulity? For I suspect it's quite certain that the issues that divide left from right in America today are both more numerous and more serious than those which did in fact spark the first civil war.

On the one hand, you have a group of men and women who want to work, build lives for themselves, raise families, and worship their God in peace.

On the other, a group of men and women who want to build a large, powerful federal bureaucracy with numerous fractured and impoverished client groups, tax the citizenery into indentured servitude, abridge their constitutional rights, ban their religion, and turn their sons and daughters into homosexuals while simultaneously exporting the wealth of the nation to foreign lands and importing their citizens.

Perhaps the only thing that's so surprising is that it hasn't happened yet.
