I'm sure Bellatrix had the hots for him, but he wasn't interested in anyone but himself, and his rise to power.

That was the final impression I got.
Up until then, I thought it had been wishful thinking on the part of Bellatrix, akin to that reporterette who wanted to thank Clinton in a special way for keeping abortion legal.

Oddly enough, if they had been lovers, they would've been the series' only set of unmarried lovers doing the nasty. What evil, evil people.

okay, I am half-joking, but it is primarily a kids' book, so I knew that Ron and Hermione would finally kiss, but nothing more before the final battle had arrived and Ron was dragged to the alta... er, I mean, Voldermort was taken down . . .
