I can't take it anymore and I am closing my Bank of America accounts (Mortgage,Checking). I'm tired of pressing one for english when conducting business on the phone and at the versateller. I'm tired of walking into a branch and seeing all the in your face marketing materials in spanish. Its like banking in Tijuana. I'm tired of the catering to non citizens, an affront to customers that built their franchise. Lastly, the final straw might well be their new add that takes you to the heavens looking down on the ENTIRE north american continent, sending a message that they clearly view Mexico as their new business playground. I make the call today and man do I feel great about this decision. Anyone have Wells Fargo's phone number?

Isn’t it somewhat premature to think Wells Fargo will be any different?
They arent yet flying spanish banners outside their branches. Im doing a walk in today to see if they want to earn the business. You are right I will probably be disappointed with them as well.
Citibank WF, Capital One, HSBC, they are all the same. Good luck finding one. Lets us know if you do, maybe some of us will join you.
Right now, I accept BofA because I do all my banking on line and my PC settings default to english.
Wells Fargo is just an evil empire with a different color scheme. Bank with a smaller community bank, and you’ll never go back.
I closed 7 accounts with BOA. With each one I gave the reason... you are catering to illegals. They had some woman come over to give me the memorized speech ... “homeland security”... “following rules” etc etc...
On the last one I said “if you are not catering to illegal aliens then you have one whale of a PR problem, because that’s what everyone believes.”
I went to US Bank. They are in my local grocery store and are great.

we still have people yelling about the increasing use of Spanish in the USA but guess what: it is going to continue.

I’m about to leave Wells Fargo due to indifferent customer service. I’d go with either a smaller regional bank or credit union or see if your brokerage firm is offering FDIC-insured checking accounts through an affiliated bank.
