Ramos & Compean - A letter to President Bush

Mr. President,

You have done an exceptional job of protecting us for the past 7 years. My wife and I are truly grateful for your fortitude in the face of unceasing opposition from within and without our borders.

There is one glaring injustice that remains a stain upon the fabric of our country. United States Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean have been more than sufficiently punished for the accusations of Johnny Sutton and the serial criminal illegal alien drug dealer.

They are in conditions far worse than the enemy combatants currently (justifiably) incarcerated at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

If anything, you have taught America that “doing the right thing isn’t always easy, but it is always right!”

I beg you Mr. President please do the right thing without delay and send these men back to their young families where they belong.

Please perform this one final act of compassion; pardon those two honorable Patriots and end their nightmare.

I've called the White House Comment Line 202-456-1111 lots and told the operators the president is ill-served by his "good friend" Johnny Sutton--the man's a liar and aiding the cartels while chilling law enforcement.

Bush isn't pardoning them. He's a friend of Mexico and thinks we're vigilantes for wanting the border secure.

Like John McCain whose good friend is Juan Hernandez.

Suppressing U.S. wages with tens of millions of Mexican workers is good for pigs.

Keeping the drug trade moving is good for pigs.

I'm old school--I favor the constitution, the laws, the border, and the part about the president being a natural born citizen.

I had always hoped he would. Didn't Clinton do massive pardons the night before he left office? Maybe it just seemed that way because of the people he pardoned.

Sadly, President Bush has nothing to gain now by pardoning Ramos and Compean. Being a decent man, I hope that isn't what he will base his final acts upon.
