Harry Reid in the Hot Seat – 2010 Election – Shades of Tom Daschle - Maybe

Harry Reid (D-NV), current Senate Majority Leader, is concerned that the RNC may actually try to dethrone him in 2010. In a recent Las Vegas Review Journal article, Reid noted he is trying to raise a paltry $50,000 by midnight,December 31 – he currently has $2,750,000 in elections funds, most of the money coming from the gaming industry. This amount of cash on hand is a small sum to wage a “war” should the RNC launch a serious attack. Compared to John Kerry (D-MA), who recently won re-election, and is in “safe” state for Democrats - he has a decent $4,260,597 on hand with top donors: University of California, Harvard, Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.

Kerry and Reid are powerful Democrats, however, Kerry enjoys the “myth of Massachusetts”, whereby the RNC believes that the state is a lost cause (without taking into account the 51% of voters who identify themselves as unenrolled.) Although the DNC is singing a similar song in Nevada, (they have a 100,000 voter registration lead), it is still a “swing” state, (as Massachusetts could be if given the right attention).

Intriguing article I found about the election of Harry Reid and how the GOP might have a hell's shot in more states if they ran a good candidate. However, I really don't think they will, from what I"ve seen of the GOP.

Republicans will only gain seats, in 2010, if they agree to a set of promises that would be similar to the Contract with America. The republican candidates, for the U.S. Senate and House, should promise that, if they regain control of both houses, they’ll pass about five bills, including tax cuts, welfare cuts, and better enforcement of immigration laws.

Daschel got outed and what happens? He gets to make policy as an Obama cabinet member, if confirmed. Outing Reid would probably have a similar ending. Them whiney liberal scumbags never get taken down for long. But whatever happens, it is definitely worth the effort to dump them.

I imagine Sarah could be persuaded to make a few appearances. Mark Levin has also said he is going to Nevada to campaign against Reid. Perhaps we can look for Rush, Hannity et al. to pop up. If I were running against Reid, I put up a campaign commercial of Dingy Harry’s greatest hits.

More than likely Obama will give the old COOT a job in the white house if he is dethrone.. Or ACORN will step in and dig up some bodies to vote for the coot so he will win again in N.V.and put the black panther thugs at voting polls to scare the whites away..

I know Kenny Guinn was pretty popular when he left office. Is that still the case? Would he consider it? Could he win?

Don’t underestimate the power of ACORN even if it is under a cloud of exposure. Talk about the “fairness doctrine” where is the Conservative counterpart to ACORN? This organization is
the grass roots army of Obama, they will stoop to anything to
get his ideology promoted.
