ABOUT THE SHOW:
The artist that electrified audiences in A&E's hit series Inked is in a new tattoo series that takes us beyond the shop.
Tattoo Highway follows artist Thomas Pendelton as he travels the country in a mobile tattoo parlor of his own design, a converted 1970s Silver Eagle Tour Bus. On the outside, it's a moving metal canvas of Thomas' art; on the inside, it's a fully functional tattoo parlor. Whether he's tattooing a Crown Dancer for an Apache Elder in New Mexico or a bat-winged heart on a mortician's chest in Sacramento, Thomas is on the road searching for the people and the stories that never made it to a tattoo shop.
With his wife and a slew of artists in tow, Thomas hit the road to find the stories that need to be told and tattooed.
TATTOOED FREEPER BAR & GRILLE, and TRAILER PARK PING!!!
Thanks
Hey, to each his own, for you that like tats. But FYI, my wife works at a hospital, and patients with inkwork are all tested for hepatitis, because they have a very very high incidence of it. You put yourselves at risk.
I just love thomas’s work. I am very happy for Thomas and Monica. He grew up rough.
Hepatitas Highway.
Another series devoted to people making bad decisions and conformist statements of individuality.
Sheesh.
tatoos are nasty :0)
Pretty cool. I wish I caught it. Time to look for a replay.
Really?
What’s to “know”?
I know HUNDREDS of people with tattoos, and 95% of them can’t figure out why they got a tattoo and well over half wish they hadn’t.
I’ve watched the plethora of tattoo shows and it seems that most of the people coming in fit that exact same model. They’re just following the fad, with not real idea of why they want a tattoo, and show the exact same signs of people who will later regret it.
For the small, devoted % of people who get tattoos for a real reason, including the people who get full sleeves and major works, good for them. At least they know what they want and aren’t afraid to get it.
The remaining MAJORITY are just following like sheep, and that’s the worst part.
People watch tattoo shows for the same reason they watch COPS.
It was a great episode....I cannot wait for next wednesday to tune in...
Tattoos are part of the mainstreaming of white trash culture. My Jewish friends are very much in the right on this.
I will rarely come across a person who actually put some thought as to why, what and where they go their tattoos.
I know one guy who had the names of three platoon-mates who were killed in Iraq tattooed on his arm.
I’d wager that he though about this and can answer all three questions without hesitation.
Then there’s the college girl who wants a tramp stamp to honor her daddy.
I cannot even begin to fathom the father issues with that girl.
I have more respect for the small % of hard-core tattoo fanatics than I do for the vast majority of sheeple who want to get “inked”.
I see tattoo hobbyists the same way I view model train hobbyists, but they are a VERY small percentage of those who get tats.
Damn! I missed it and I really wanted to check this one out. I can’t stand “LA Ink” so this looked like a good alternative.
Just started work on a half sleeve on my left arm!
didn’t he mix some of her ashes in with the ink?
