Considering the stakes involved, there is also the possibility that whatever they have on record now that Fukino was referencing is forged and was inserted into the records within the last year or so. Remember that the Congressman from American Samoa was in Indonesia in 2007 vacuuming up documents in anticipation of an Obama win.

Possible, but requires a tight ship down at the Hawaiian records office. If just one person saw something or had second thoughts they would have a pretty big place in history. Then if his birth is not recorded on a birth document, but one that was filed after his birth, perhaps years later, or one added recently to cover the bases. Those later documents would contain a lie, so how many people would know about that lie when the document was filed?
