It’s not an “O” it’s a zero.
Computer fonts have a wide upper-case letter O, not typewriters. Look at this link which allows samples of fonts by what you enter - in this case the Schmutz (which mimics typewriter font)

Type a capital O and a numberal 0.
They’re virtually IDENTICAL in appearance. As they would be on a manual typewriter at that time.
If anything the number 0 is somewhat more open than an upper-case O. Exactly like the document.
It’s not fake IMO.
Many typewriters did not have a “0”. The user would use the “O”. Ditto for “1” and “l”.

THIS IS THE FONT THAT IS USED ON THE BOMBART ONE TOO!!
I was looking at the 4 and thinking that I didn’t recall the open top four (although I never used every typewriter there is), but it was SO specific...
anyway, this is also a Smutz Computer Font simulated to LOOK like an old typewriter.
The link even shows what it would look like clogged with ink and corroded with rust!
