Kool-aid is a FR metaphor for being misled.

More like eagerly allowing one's self to be misled off a cliff, or to drink the poisonous kool aid because of a cult like mentality.

KOOLAID is not a metaphor exclusive to Free Republic. No way. I've heard the phrase "drinking the koolaid" ever since about one week after Jonestown and DTKA quickly got shortened to 'KOOLAID.'

KOOLAID means alot more than being "misled" -- that's like trying to tell me that something like, Oh-dont-be-silly, on FR, murder means a post got zapped.

Incorrect use of a term or misunderstanding a metaphor does NOT give it an entirely new meaning.
